Step Eight
What can you replace your lie with? How would that change your life?
- Type 1: I should be perfect. Life should be perfect.
- Type 2: If I give enough I will be loved.
- Type 3: If I seem successful I will be happy.
- Type 4: I am unique and people need to know that.
- Type 5: Knowledge is the answer to everything.
- Type 6: People are untrustworthy. I must keep myself safe.
- Type 7: I need MORE to be satisfied (more, more, more).
- Type 8: I must be strong and in control to be complete.
- Type 9: I can delay decisions and actions and all will still be well.
Step Nine
Weekly Challenge: Journal about the lie for your type from Step 8. Should you acknowledge your wrongs, or admit them — to yourself? To the person you harmed? How does that difference help you release the pattern? Also: identify your shadows. Next session we discuss owning your shadow so you can release it.
