GOING DEEPER: TYPE 6 & STEP TWELVE

For returning participants: Step 12 invites your loyalty to become trust, courage, and steady leadership. For Type 6s, this means moving from fear and questioning into living as a grounded, trustworthy presence for yourself and others.

Gentle reminder: You do not have to be certain to move forward. You are guided, supported, and capable of taking the next right step.


1) Carrying the Message (Through Courage)

Aim: Share your recovery by living trust and steady action.

  • Speak from your experience of moving through fear.
  • Share honestly about doubt and how you navigated it.
  • Let your courage be an example to others.
  • Celebration cue: Every time you act despite fear, you inspire strength in others.

2) Daily Practice of Principles

Aim: Live from trust instead of fear.

  • Notice when fear or overthinking arises.
  • Pause and ask: “What is the next right step?”
  • Take action even without full certainty.
  • Celebration cue: Each step taken in trust builds confidence and freedom.

3) Service as Steady Presence

Aim: Offer reliability and grounded support.

  • Be consistent and present for others.
  • Offer encouragement instead of fear-based advice.
  • Model calm, steady engagement.
  • Celebration cue: Your steadiness becomes a source of safety and strength.

4) Discernment: Fear vs. Guidance

Aim: Distinguish between anxious thinking and true direction.

5) Short Trust Prayers

  • Where did I act in trust?
  • How is my life reflecting courage?

7) When Fear Returns

  • “I can take one step.”
  • “I do not need certainty to move forward.”

8) Step 12 Prayer — Type 6

“Higher Power, help me trust You more than my fear. Guide me to take the next right step, even when I feel uncertain. Let my life reflect courage, steadiness, and faith. Amen.”
