STEP 11:
“Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.”

GOING DEEPER: TYPE 6 & STEP ELEVEN
↓
For returning participants: Step 11 invites your vigilance to become trust, steadiness, and inner guidance. For Type 6s, conscious contact deepens as you shift from scanning for danger to listening for direction—learning to trust your Higher Power and your inner knowing.
Gentle reminder: You do not have to figure everything out to be safe. You can take the next right step and trust you are supported.
1) The 3-Part Daily Rhythm (AM • Midday • PM)
Aim: Build trust through steady connection instead of mental scanning.
- Morning (5–7 min): Sit quietly. Pray: “God, show me Your will; give me power to carry it out.” Ask: “What is one thing I can trust today?” Choose a Guiding Word (e.g., “trust,” “steady,” “guided”).
- Midday (60 sec pause): When anxiety rises: inhale “I am safe” • exhale “I trust.” Ask: “What is the next right step?”
- Evening (5 min): Reflect on where you trusted vs. questioned. Give thanks for moments of courage and faith.
- Celebration cue: Every small act of trust builds inner strength and peace.
2) Two-Way Prayer — Type 6 Prompts
Aim: Strengthen trust in your Higher Power and inner guidance.
- “What do You want me to trust right now?”
- “What is the next right step?”
- “Where am I being guided instead of needing certainty?”
Write: 2–3 minutes to God → 2–3 minutes receiving.
Celebration cue: Each time you listen, trust replaces fear.
3) Somatic Grounding (Body-Based Meditation for 6s)
Aim: Calm the nervous system and return to safety.
- Anchor: Feel your feet firmly on the ground.
- Breath: Slow inhale / longer exhale.
- Repeat: “I am safe… I am supported.”
- Micro-cue: Soften your shoulders and release tension in your body.
Celebration cue: Each time your body relaxes, your mind can follow into trust.
4) Discernment Grid — Mine, Theirs, God’s
Aim: Differentiate fear from guidance.
| Mine | Theirs | God’s Will |
|---|---|---|
| Fear, doubt, worst-case thinking | Others’ perspectives or input | Clear, simple next step that feels steady and grounded |
Celebration cue: Choosing steady guidance over fear builds confidence and peace.
5) Short Trust Prayers
- “God, I trust You.”
- “Guide my next step.”
- “I am safe in this moment.”
Celebration cue: These simple prayers strengthen your connection to safety and guidance.
6) Weekly Listening (15 minutes)
- Where did fear lead me?
- Where did I trust?
- What is God inviting me into next?
Celebration cue: Each reflection builds clarity and confidence in your path.
7) When Fear Rises
- “I can take one step.”
- “I do not need certainty to move forward.”
Celebration cue: Every step taken in trust is a powerful act of courage.
8) Step 11 Prayer — Type 6
“Higher Power, help me trust You more than my fear. When doubt arises, guide me gently back to what is steady and true. Show me the next right step and give me the courage to take it. Let me rest in Your support and walk forward in faith. Amen.”
Celebration cue: As trust grows, fear loses its grip — and your life opens with confidence and peace.
Summary of Going Deeper: Step 11 for Type 6s is courageous trust — moving from fear and doubt into steady guidance and faith. As you listen and follow, your path becomes clearer, and your life becomes more grounded and secure.
You are not losing your caution — you are transforming it into trust.
