STEP 11:
“Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.”



GOING DEEPER: TYPE 2 & STEP ELEVEN

For returning participants: Step 11 invites your love to become guided, balanced, and deeply rooted. For Type 2s, conscious contact grows as you release the need to earn connection and begin receiving direction, care, and love directly from your Higher Power.

Gentle reminder: You are already loved. You do not have to give more to be enough. In stillness, you receive what you have been trying to offer.


1) The 3-Part Daily Rhythm (AM • Midday • PM)

Aim: Build a steady rhythm of receiving and giving through conscious contact.

  • Morning (5–7 min): Hand on heart; breathe. Pray: “God, show me Your will; give me power to carry it out.” Ask: “What do I need today?” Choose a Guiding Word (e.g., “receive,” “rest,” “honest”).
  • Midday (60 sec pause): When you feel the urge to help or fix: inhale “I receive” • exhale “I trust.” Ask: “What is truly mine to do?”
  • Evening (5 min): Notice where you gave from fullness vs. from need. Offer gratitude for balanced connection.
  • Celebration cue: Each moment of receiving allows your love to flow freely and sustainably.

2) Two-Way Prayer — Type 2 Prompts

Aim: Deepen your relationship with God beyond helping others.

  • “Where do You want me to receive instead of give?”
  • “What is mine to do — and what is not?”
  • “How do You see me right now?”

Write: 2–3 minutes to God → 2–3 minutes receiving.

Celebration cue: Each time you listen, you remember you are already held and loved.


3) Somatic Softening (Body-Based Meditation for 2s)

Aim: Support balanced, receptive love in your body.

  • Settle: Hand on heart and belly.
  • Breath: Slow inhale / longer exhale.
  • Repeat: “I am loved… I can receive.”
  • Micro-cue: Pause before helping; check in with yourself first.

Celebration cue: As you receive, your love becomes freer, deeper, and more aligned.


4) Discernment Grid — Mine, Theirs, God’s

Aim: Stay clear about responsibility and avoid over-giving.

5) Short Connection Prayers

  • “God, help me receive.”
  • “Let my love be balanced.”
  • “Guide what is mine to do.”

Celebration cue: Simple prayers keep your heart open and aligned.


6) Weekly Listening (15 minutes)

  • Where did I over-give?
  • Where did I receive?
  • What is God inviting me into next?

Celebration cue: This time restores balance and renews your energy.


7) When Over-Giving Starts

  • “Let me pause and check what is true.”
  • “I choose balance right now.”

Celebration cue: Each pause strengthens your boundaries and your peace.


8) Step 11 Prayer — Type 2

“Higher Power, thank You for the love within me. Help me receive Your love fully so I can give from truth, not need. Guide my actions, steady my heart, and keep me aligned with what is real. Amen.”

Celebration cue: Your love becomes a gift when it flows from connection, not effort.


Summary of Going Deeper: Step 11 for Type 2s is love in balance — receiving, listening, and giving from wholeness. As you stay connected to your Higher Power, your love becomes freer, steadier, and truly nourishing.
