Type 9 Sloth

STEP 11:
“Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.”



GOING DEEPER: TYPE 9 & STEP ELEVEN

For returning participants: Step 11 invites your peace to become awake, engaged, and guided. For Type 9s, conscious contact deepens as you move from drifting or numbing into presence, participation, and alignment with your Higher Power.

Gentle reminder: Your presence matters. You are not here to disappear — you are here to show up, participate, and be guided.


1) The 3-Part Daily Rhythm (AM • Midday • PM)

Aim: Build presence and engagement instead of drifting.

  • Morning (5–7 min): Sit quietly. Pray: “God, show me Your will; give me power to carry it out.” Ask: “Where do You want me to show up today?” Choose a Guiding Word (e.g., “awake,” “present,” “engaged”).
  • Midday (60 sec pause): When you feel yourself drifting: inhale “I am here” • exhale “I engage.” Ask: “What is mine to do right now?”
  • Evening (5 min): Reflect on where you showed up vs. checked out. Give thanks for moments of presence.
  • Celebration cue: Every moment of showing up strengthens your voice and your life.

2) Two-Way Prayer — Type 9 Prompts

Aim: Strengthen your connection to guidance and inner knowing.

  • “Where do You want me to show up?”
  • “What is mine to do right now?”
  • “What matters most in this moment?”

Write: 2–3 minutes to God → 2–3 minutes receiving.

Celebration cue: Each time you listen and respond, your life becomes more meaningful and alive.


3) Somatic Activation (Body-Based Meditation for 9s)

Aim: Gently wake up your energy and presence.

  • Anchor: Sit upright and feel your body engaged.
  • Breath: Slightly deeper inhale / strong exhale.
  • Repeat: “I am here… I matter.”
  • Micro-cue: Take one small action instead of delaying.

Celebration cue: Each small action brings your life into motion and alignment.


4) Discernment Grid — Mine, Theirs, God’s

Aim: Distinguish between drifting and guided action.

Celebration cue: Choosing to engage brings clarity, energy, and purpose.


5) Short Presence Prayers

  • “God, help me show up.”
  • “I am here and I matter.”
  • “Guide me into action.”

Celebration cue: These simple prayers gently awaken your energy and purpose.


6) Weekly Listening (15 minutes)

  • Where did I check out?
  • Where did I show up?
  • What is God inviting me into?

Celebration cue: This reflection strengthens your awareness and your voice.


7) When You Start to Drift

  • “I can take one small step.”
  • “My presence matters.”

Celebration cue: Each small step brings your life into alignment and movement.


8) Step 11 Prayer — Type 9

“Higher Power, help me wake up and show up in my life. When I drift or disappear, gently bring me back to presence and purpose. Guide me into action, clarity, and connection. Let me trust that I matter and that my participation is important. Amen.”

Celebration cue: As you show up more fully, your life becomes more alive, connected, and meaningful.


Summary of Going Deeper: Step 11 for Type 9s is awakened presence — moving from drifting into engagement. As you show up and follow guidance, your life becomes purposeful, energized, and deeply connected.


You are not losing your peace — you are bringing it fully to life.
