STEP 11:
“Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.”



GOING DEEPER: TYPE 8 & STEP ELEVEN

For returning participants: Step 11 invites you into a deeper kind of strength — the strength of being led. For Type 8s, conscious contact becomes a lived experience as you release force, trust guidance, and allow your power to be shaped in real time by your Higher Power.

Gentle reminder: You are not losing your strength — you are refining it. Stillness is not weakness; it is one of the clearest places God meets you and leads you forward.


1) The 3-Part Daily Rhythm (AM • Midday • PM)

Aim: Build a steady, life-giving rhythm of conscious contact throughout your day.

  • Morning (5–7 min): Hand on heart; breathe. Pray: “God, show me Your will; give me power to carry it out.” Read a short passage; write one Guiding Word (e.g., “gentle,” “listen,” “share power”).
  • Midday (60 sec pause): When intensity rises: inhale “I trust” • exhale “I release control.” Ask: “What is Your will here?” Act on the smallest obedient step.
  • Evening (5 min): Gratitude for where you felt guided; note one moment of forcing vs. following. Close with: “Thank You for carrying me.”
  • Celebration cue: These daily touchpoints create a life of conscious contact — one moment of trust at a time.

2) Two-Way Prayer — Type 8 Prompts

Aim: Deepen your relationship with God by listening as much as speaking.

  • “Where today do You want me to share power instead of take it?”
  • “How do You want my voice to sound when I carry Your will?”
  • “What fight do I lay down so love can lead?”

Write: 2–3 minutes to God → 2–3 minutes receiving. Keep it simple, honest, and specific.

Celebration cue: Each time you listen, you are strengthening your connection and walking in true spiritual power.


3) Somatic Softening (Body-Based Meditation for 8s)

Aim: Let your body support the surrender your spirit is practicing.

  • Unarm the body: Unclench jaw • drop shoulders • open hands on thighs.
  • Breath set (2–3 minutes): 4-count inhale / 6-count exhale.
  • Silently repeat: “Held… Led.”
  • Micro-cue before speaking: “10% softer • 10% slower.” Let presence carry strength.

Celebration cue: As your body softens, your strength becomes more grounded, safe, and guided.


4) Discernment Grid — Mine, Theirs, God’s

Aim: Distinguish your will from God’s will with clarity and confidence.

Mine (my will) Theirs (others’ will) God’s Will (as I sense it)
Urge to push/decide/defend Their needs, limits, timing Small, clear step that brings peace, care, and alignment

Practice: When in doubt, choose the step that is loving, clear, and non-coercive.

Celebration cue: Each moment of discernment strengthens your trust in God’s guidance.


5) “Power With” Prayers (Short & Repeatable)

Aim: Keep conscious contact alive throughout your day with simple, powerful prayers.

  • “God, let my strength become shelter.”
  • “Make my leadership listening first.”
  • “Lower my armor, raise my love.”
  • “Your pace, not my push.”

Celebration cue: Small prayers, practiced often, gently reshape your entire way of being.


6) Weekly Listening Retreat (15 minutes, once a week)

Aim: Create space for deeper guidance and alignment.

  • Settle: 3 minutes of breath; hands open.
  • Ask: “Where did I confuse force with strength?” “Where did I follow Your lead?”
  • Receive: Note one guidance for relationships, one for service, one for rest.
  • Act: Calendar one faithful step this week.

Celebration cue: This weekly pause keeps your life aligned, guided, and deeply supported.


7) When the Protector Flares (Real-Time Script)

Aim: Return to alignment quickly when intensity rises.

  • Pause line: “I want to stay aligned with God’s will. I’m going to slow down so I can listen.”
  • Repair line (if needed): “I shifted into force. I’m choosing God’s pace now.”

Celebration cue: Every return is a success. This is how transformation actually happens — moment by moment.


8) Step 11 Prayer — Type 8

“Higher Power, steady my strength inside Your presence. Quiet my urge to take over; tune my heart to Your will. Let my voice be gentle and true, my actions guided and timely. Give me the power to carry out what You show me — no more, no less. Amen.”

Celebration cue: Prayer transforms your strength into guidance, and your leadership into love.
