Two-Way Prayer is a simple practice of writing to your Higher Power, listening, and then writing what you sense your Higher Power is saying back. It helps quiet avoidance and opens you up to your Higher Power’s loving guidance.
- Begin by reading program material and asking a question from your Type 9 lens, such as: “Higher Power, what do you want me to know about showing up fully today?” Or ask generally: “Higher Power, what do you want me to know/do right now?”
- Pause, breathe, and notice the urge to drift or disengage. Instead, stay alert and open to your Higher Power’s steady voice.
- Write whatever words, phrases, or impressions come to you.

- “What is mine to act on now, and what belongs to my Higher Power?”

Evening Review (Spiritual Awareness)
Unlike Step 10’s focus on resentments and harms, Step 11’s evening review is about presence and awareness. Gently reflect on the following:
- Where did I notice my Higher Power’s presence today?
- When did I show up fully instead of withdrawing?
- Where did I choose comfort over truth or action?
- What guidance did I sense about my Higher Power’s will for me?

- Prayer for Presence: “Higher Power, awaken me to life as it is. Help me face reality and live fully in Y\your will.”

- Gratitude List: Each night, write 3 moments when you stayed engaged and present.
- Body Practices: Stretch, move, or take a mindful walk to stay awake in your body.
- Silence: Spend 2–3 minutes sitting upright in alert stillness, letting your Higher Power’s presence fill you.
